I am an academic researcher with a change agenda. My broad area of interest is system innovation for sustainability; i.e. transformation of socio-technical systems to achieve sustainability. I am particularly interested in how design and innovation decisions can be aligned with longer-term societal changes that are necessary for us to achieve sustainability. I use, learn about, develop and teach design thinking, systems thinking and futures thinking tools in my work. Currently I am employed as a lecturer at the Department of Product Design in Auckland University of Technology, teaching about sustainable design, innovation for sustainability, activating creativity, design futures and etc.
