METU Department of Industrial Design was once again represented at the Prototypes for Humanity exhibition and event held in Dubai between 28 November and 2 December 2023. Our alumnus Selami Erdoğan's project "Vibracircle" was one of the 100 projects accepted to the event, amongst entries from 710 universities and 108 countries. "Vibracircle" is an app-controlled vest that enhances respiratory physiotherapy for diseases including chronic pulmonary disease (COPD) and cystic fibrosis. Prototypes for Humanity aims to champion academic excellence, practical solutions and new technologies for solving some of the world's most urgent environmental and social challenges.
