ID290 ELEMENTARY WORKSHOP PRACTICE & COMPUTER LITERACY IN DESIGN
A) Summer Practice Period: Four weeks (22 June - 17 July 2026*, due to unforeseen circumstances, dates may be subject to change)
The course consists of two modules: "elementary workshop practices" for two weeks and "computer literacy in design" for two weeks.
Students cannot take leave during the internship period. If a medical certificate is received due to health problems, the student must report the medical certificate to the Internship Coordinator and must continue the internship on the first working day after the last day of the report, and complete the missing assignments within the additional time granted.
*Students who will take courses from the summer school will not be accepted to participate in the ID290 summer internship.
B) Scope: Students passing from the first year to the second year, and the students in the upper classes who have not fulfilled ID 290 internship obligations.
C) Aim: Computer part aims to develop the students' 2D and 3D digital modeling skills.
In the workshop practice part, it is aimed to provide the students with the knowledge and experiences on basic 3D physical model making techniques, processing methods of certain materials, and usage of existing equipment in the modeling workshop safely.
D) Summer Practice Location: Computer part of ID 290 is carried out in the Faculty's computer labs, and workshop practice part is conducted in the Faculty's workshops.
