A lecture by Yekta Bakırlıoğlu: Design Management for Sustainability
As a part of ID480 Design Management course, Yekta Bakırlıoğlu will give a lecture titled "Design Management for Sustainability". The lecture will happen both as an online and at Kubbealtı at the Faculty of Architecture on 26th April 2023, Wednesday, between 13.40-16.00. We invite everyone interested to join us. Dr Yekta Bakırlıoğlu is a Senior Lecturer in Design Management at Lancaster Institute for the Contemporary Arts, Lancaster University, UK. Previously, he was an Assist. Prof. Dr. at the Department of Industrial Design, Middle East Technical University, Turkey, and an EU MSCA-TUBITAK CoFund CoCirculation2 Fellow. He received his PhD from the same institution, during which he was visiting researcher at NODUS Sustainable Design Research Lab, Aalto University, Finland. After his PhD, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Limerick, Ireland, and Koç University, Turkey. His research interests include open design, design (education) for sustainability, and gender-sensitive design.
