Aren Emre Kurtgözü is currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Design at TED University. He received his PhD in Visual and Cultural Studies from Bilkent University in 2001. He has taught industrial design, visual communication, and interior design at numerous universities. His research interests include design history and criticism, semiotics, media and visual studies, material culture, advertising, and consumer culture.
