As part of the ID 480 Design Management Course, Levent Alkışlar will deliver a seminar titled "The Strategic Role of Design in Technological Transformation". The seminar will take place on 21 May 2025, Wednesday, at 15:00 at YPA3. We warmly invite all interested participants to attend.
Levent Alkışlar is a distinguished technology and quality leader with over 35 years of experience in systems engineering, software development, and strategic quality management in Turkey’s defense sector. Currently retired from ASELSAN, where he served as Director of Quality Management at REHİS Division, he held prominent executive and advisory roles, spearheading initiatives in strategic planning, risk management, and organizational transformation.
Throughout his career, Alkışlar has bridged the worlds of engineering and leadership, developing methodologies that emphasize the integration of innovation, reliability, and long-term value creation. His influence extends beyond the corporate sphere into civil society, where he has served on the boards of various national platforms, including the Turkish Quality Association (KalDer), championing excellence across both public and private sectors.
A strong believer in the transformative potential of design and systems thinking, Alkışlar continues to engage with the next generation of professionals through university seminars and mentorship. In every engagement, he explores the question: “How can strategy and design become mutual enablers in technology-driven organizations?” His interdisciplinary approach helps to illuminate how design can act not only as a visual or functional asset, but as a strategic tool for industrial and national development.
