Seminar Invitation Koray Canlar "Affording Agency: On the Potential of Co-Making Hacks to Improve the Accessibility of Makerspaces"

As a part of the ID561 Product Design for Sustainability course, Koray Canlar will give a seminar titled "Affording Agency: On the Potential of Co-Making Hacks to Improve the Accessibility of Makerspaces". The seminar will take place on Thursday, 4 December 2025, at 13:45-15:00 in the Kubbealtı Hall of the Faculty of Architecture. Everyone interested is welcome to attend.
Koray Canlar is a PhD candidate in Product Design at Oslo Metropolitan University, Norway, where he is also teaching the undergraduate course Cultural Understanding & Communication. His research focuses on improving the accessibility of makerspaces and transdisciplinary maker communities through co-making. He holds a master's degree in Industrial Design from Middle East Technical University, Türkiye, where he also worked as a research assistant. His research interests include inclusive design, design for sustainability, participatory design, co-design, accessibility, and makerspaces.
