Have you ever tried designing glasses for someone else?

We successfully completed the project "Personalised Eyeglasses for an Outdoor Event in Design Week" as part of ID201 Industrial Design I course supervised by Prof. Dr. Gülay Hasdoğan, Prof. Dr. Çağla Doğan, Part-time Inst. D.F.A. Esin Düzakın, Res. Asst. Ezgi Özkürkçü Özbudak and Res. Asst. Yağmur Merve Arık.

The goal of the project is to develop a design solutions a pair of personalised eyeglasses for an outdoor party or event at a Design Week that reflects facial features, personality, and design style of each design student. For this purpose, each student is assigned another one in the class to develop and design eyeglasses for each other. Through an iterative design process, our design students explored different shapes and forms suitable for laser cutting, tested ideas, and refined them based on feedback.
