Biography

Alper Karadoganer received his BS degree in Industrial Design from Middle East Technical University in 2008 and his MS degree in Design for Interaction in 2010, from the International Joint Program of METU - Delft University of Technology in 2010. He received his PhD degree from METU Industrial Design Department in 2020. He has worked as an industrial designer in design offices and for the projects of companies in different sectors since he was a student. He took part in defense and white goods research projects in the UTEST Product Usability Unit, in the METU Industrial Design Department, where he started to work as a design specialist in 2013. He also worked as a design specialist in the project of increasing the international competitiveness of medical manufacturers supported by the European Union. He took part in the team that developed the contents of the Design and Production books published at the end of 2021 within the scope of TÜBİTAK's Project to Establish 100 Deneyap Technology Workshops in 81 Cities. He continues to work as a lecturer in the same department. His research interests include the use of representation tools in design, the use of technology in design, interaction design, three-dimensional modeling and prototyping.
