Graduating from the Industrial Design Department of Middle East Technical University in 2008, Gamze Ekin has extensive experience in product design, marketing communications, and customer experience design. She began her career as a product designer at various companies and later advanced into project management roles at global firms such as Samsung.

Alongside her professional work, Ekin has also contributed to academia. She has served as a part-time lecturer at Özyeğin University's Industrial Design Department, teaching the course Circular Design for Sustainability.

Since 2017, Ekin has been working at the global customer experience design agency I-AM, as a Marketing Strategy and Communications Manager. As of 2025, she continues her role within the agency as a Digital and Service Design Projects Manager.

Ekin also actively leads I-AM's academic collaborations, transforming the agency's brand, spatial, and service design projects into academic publications. Her research, articles, and conference papers have been published in national and international journals and conferences.
