In the TUBITAK Industry-focused Undergraduate Graduation Projects Competition, which is open to all engineering, basic, social, and medical sciences and design departments, our student Esra Uzel took first place with her graduation project, “Portable vein reader design for the sclerotherapy treatment of varicose veins” developed in collaboration with Medec, and Akın Köse took the third place with his “Reusable electronica biopsy device and accessories that eases Tru-cut Biopsy Operations” design project developed in collaboration with Futerodesign. Among the 31 finalists, 7 of them were our students: Güzin Didem Toker, Sezgi Kaya, Müge Öztürk, Taha Celal Yıldırım ve Meltem Parlak. Along with the success of our department, the success of industrial design also emerged among all technical and scientific faculties.
