Tuğra Erol (PhD) will be giving a seminar called “Visual Language Theory & Practice in Automotive Design: Behold the Paradigm Shift!” in Kubbealtı, Friday December 29th at 12:30.
Tuğra Erol is a research associate in Automotive Design and Human Factors based in Coventry University’s National Transport & Design Centre which is a part of the Research Institute for Future Transport and Cities. He holds three Master degrees, first two from METU in Industrial Design and Engineering Sciences and another Master’s degree in Car and Transportation design from Scuola Politecnica di Design (SPD, Milano). Having recently completed his PhD in Industrial Design from Coventry University, he is now actively engaged with clients including ADIENT plc in applied design research with particular focus on automotive seat design. His research interests include the role of visual appearance on the perception of automotive seating comfort and designing for comfort in shared and automated vehicles (SAV).
